First Cancer Center to open in Central Luzon

Pampanga will be the site of a P500-million cancer center to be built through a partnership between local hospital Mother Theresa of Calcutta Medical Center (MTCMC) and Singapore firm TE Asia Healthcare. MTCMC is part of the Mount Grace Hospitals Inc. network.

According to TE Asia’s Executive Officer Eng Aik Meng, the facility is set to open in July 2019, with the promise of providing affordable services to members of the community as well as nearby provinces.

MTCMC’s Chief Operations Officer Rhais Gamboa highlighted how this partnership will also enhance knowledge and expertise: “Partnering with international institutions is always an aspiration of local entities because of exchange in knowledge and access to new technology.”

This will be the largest investment in a cancer center facility in Central Luzon.
